Order to Google to remove news and videos related to assault on Gaurav Bhatia in Noida court

New Delhi, April 16 (Hindustan Reporter) Delhi High Court has ordered some YouTube channels and some Twitter accounts to remove news and videos related to the alleged assault of BJP leader Gaurav Bhatia in Noida court. Justice Neena Bansal Krishna directed Google to make public domain videos related to this case private.

The High Court had reserved the decision on 8 April. While hearing the petition of Gaurav Bhatia on February 5, the court had issued notice to all the defendant YouTube channels. Gaurav Bhatia had filed a petition saying that these YouTube channels had said in their news that he was beaten up in the Noida court. Advocates Raghav Awasthi and Mukesh Sharma, appearing on behalf of Gaurav Bhatia, had said that the Supreme Court has taken cognizance of this matter, yet false news is being spread against Gaurav Bhatia.

He had said that the incident with Gaurav Bhatia has been justified in the news broadcast by these YouTube channels. Gaurav Bhatia parodies the Twitter accounts of journalist Naveen Kumar's Article 19, The News Launcher, BBI News, comedian Rajiv Nigam, Sandeep Singh, Vijay Yadav, Netflix and Sunita Jadhav and Pankaj Tripathi, Dawood Nadaf, Dr Khatra and Virus Baba India Waa. The account was made the defendant.

The Supreme Court had taken cognizance of this matter on March 23. The Supreme Court had sought a report on this matter from the District Judge. The Supreme Court had directed to preserve the CCTV footage of the incident. Actually, Gaurav Bhatia had gone to Noida court in March. There was a strike of lawyers in the court that day. On the day of the incident, some lawyers had a scuffle with Gaurav Bhatia and a female lawyer. The Supreme Court has taken cognizance of this incident.
