New Delhi. Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Sunday released the ‘Assembly Report Card’ on completion of one year of her government’s tenure. During this, the Chief Minister shared details of mega projects worth Rs 10,000 crore and local development works worth Rs 250 crore for the rejuvenation of Delhi. The Chief Minister has termed this one year of the BJP government as ‘the year of development and trust’.
Inaugurating the redevelopment works at a district park, the Chief Minister said his government is committed to making the capital’s infrastructure world class.
Beautification of parks and restoration of fountains
Addressing the public, the Chief Minister said that improving the condition of the parks, which are called the lungs of Delhi, is his priority.
Rejuvenation of District Park: The Chief Minister inaugurated new gates, repair of footpaths, modern toilets and reconstruction of walls in the park.
Network of fountains: The work of restoration of damaged fountains not only in the Assembly complex but also in all the DDA parks of Delhi has been started on war footing.
Delhi will become ‘electric bus capital’
Delhi is going to create a new history in the field of transportation. Rekha Gupta announced that Delhi will soon become the state with the highest number of electric buses in the country.
500 new e-buses: BJP National President Nitin Nabin and the Chief Minister will flag off 500 new electric buses at Ramlila Maidan.
Delhi-Panipat Bus Service: Along with this, Delhi-Panipat interstate bus service will also be started for the convenience of passengers.
Handbook of Development: 365 days, 365 tasks
Releasing the ‘Report Card’ booklet, the Chief Minister said that it contains detailed details of the works completed in the last one year and the upcoming big schemes. He expressed his gratitude to the people of Delhi for reposing faith in the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Rekha Gupta said, “It is because of public trust that our government is working 365 days a year. We have not only developed schemes but have also started their implementation.”
‘Development’ now at the center of politics
This step of presenting the report card is being seen as BJP’s strong hold in Delhi politics. The Chief Minister clarified that Delhi’s infrastructure will be completely transformed through major projects worth Rs 10,000 crore. He said that better coordination has been established between the government and the Center to accelerate development works.
