Baghpat, 4 October (Hindustan Reporter) Preparations are underway to train one thousand youth of Baghpat for disaster management. For which Nehru Yuva Kendra, NCC, NSS, BSG volunteers will be trained in Yuva Aapda Mitra Project. By becoming Aapda Mitra, they will be prepared for response, coordination and management at the time of disaster so that help can be provided in the district at the time of disaster. The State Disaster Management Authority is preparing to make the disaster preparedness and process effective. For this, Yuva Aapda Mitra Scheme has been started in the 25 most disaster sensitive districts of the state, the objective of which is to empower people to deal with disasters by becoming volunteers in emergency situations. The youth applying for training are given training in basic techniques related to response, coordination, management, first aid at the time of disaster.
In this, volunteers of Bharat Scouts and Guides including NCC, NSS, Nehru Yuva Kendra Organization will get ten days training in Lucknow. In the first phase, 1000 youth of Baghpat district will be given training in which 300 NCC, 150 NSS, 150 Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan and 400 Bharat Scouts and Guide volunteers will be selected. Youth willing for training can collect the application form from the office of Nehru Yuva Kendra Baghpat or register through online medium. All volunteers who complete the training will be provided a certificate. All expenses for training will be borne by the State Disaster Management Authority.
