One silver and three bronze medals emerged from the punch of women boxers of Awadh University

Ayodhya, March 11 (Hindustan Reporter) Women boxers of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University displayed brilliant performance and won one silver and three bronze medals in the All India Inter University Kick Boxing Women's Competition held at Vivekananda Subharti University, Meerut.

Priyanshi Chand won the university a silver medal in the 70 kg weight category of Tatami Point Fighting event of Kick Boxing. Shreya Pandey won the bronze medal in the Tatami Point Fighting 70 kg weight category. On the other hand, Jagriti Gautam got bronze medal in 48 kg weight category of Ring Sports Low Kick event, Sonali Nishad got bronze medal in Ring Sports Low Kick 60 kg weight category. The team manager of this competition was Swati Upadhyay and the coach was Dr. Anurag Pandey.

Expressing happiness over the success of the women medal winning players, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Pratibha Goyal congratulated the team coach along with all the medal winning players. He said that the women players of the university have enhanced the honor and glory of Avadh University at the national level by their sportsmanship. Vice President of University Sports Council, Prof. Himanshu Singh congratulated all the medal winning players.

Whereas Sports Secretary Prof. Congratulating the players, Ashish Pratap Singh said that due to the good efforts of the Vice Chancellor, the food allowance of the players has been increased from Rs 600 to Rs 1000, due to which there is a lot of enthusiasm among the players.
