Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday (April 30) filed his nomination papers from Lucknow Lok Sabha seat in Uttar Pradesh. Meanwhile, he has declared his assets in an affidavit. According to this affidavit, BJP candidate from Lucknow seat Rajnath Singh has assets worth more than Rs 5 crore.
How many rupees are there in Rajnath Singh's bank account?
72-year-old Rajnath Singh had filed his nomination papers on 29 April. According to the information given in the affidavit, he has Rs 75,000 in cash, while his wife has Rs 45,000 in cash. Talking about his bank account, a total of Rs 3,11,32,962 is deposited in different bank accounts of Rajnath Singh in Lucknow and Delhi. Apart from this, Rs 90,71,074 are deposited in his wife's bank account.
Union Minister has not invested in shares or bonds
Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has not invested any money in any stock or bond nor has he made any investment in any savings scheme. However, his wife has invested Rs 6.51 lakh in the post office account. Rajnath Singh has 60 grams of gold, whose value is said to be Rs 4.20 lakh, while he also has diamonds worth Rs 4 lakh. His wife has 750 grams of gold jewellery, worth Rs 52,50,000, while he also has 12.5 kg of silver, worth Rs 9,37,500.
32 bore revolver and a gun
Weapons are also included in the assets of Rajnath Singh. According to the affidavit, he has a 32 bore revolver whose value is said to be Rs 10,000. There is also a gun, which also costs Rs 10,000. As far as immovable property is concerned, the Union Defense Minister owns agricultural land worth Rs 1.47 crore, while a house in Lucknow is worth more than Rs 1.87 lakh. Talking about education, Rajnath Singh has done MSc from Gorakhpur University in the year 1971. The surprising thing is that despite having assets worth crores of rupees, Rajnath Singh does not have a single car in his name.
