One pair of new MEMU passenger trains started operating between Supaul and Dauram Madhepura

Saharsa, July 16 (HS). For the convenience of railway passengers, the railway started operating a pair of new MEMU passenger trains between Saharsa and Supaul and Daur Madhepura from Tuesday. Member of Parliament Dinesh Chandra Yadav and former Bihar government minister cum MLA Alok Ranjan flagged off both the trains one after the other at the junction. Several railway officials of Samastipur Railway Division were also present at the inauguration ceremony. A huge crowd had gathered at Saharsa Junction for the inauguration of two new passenger trains from Saharsa to Supaul and Madhepura.

According to railway sources, the first MEMU passenger train to be flagged off from platform number 2 was 05279 Memo Passenger, which was driven by loco pilot BK Sharma and guard Pradeep Kumar. The 05221 Saharsa Madhepura train was flagged off from platform number 2 by woman loco pilot Sanjukta Kumari and train manager Prabhanjan Kumar.

MP Dinesh Chandra Yadav said that people of the region will greatly benefit from getting passenger train from Saharsa to Supaul and Madhepura. The sleeper coach of the Vande Bharat train is being prepared. A proposal to run Vande Bharat sleeper coach train from Saharsa to New Delhi has been placed with the high authority. It is expected that Saharsa Junction will get Vande Bharat sleeper train in the beginning itself. After getting Vande Bharat train, people of Kosi region will reach New Delhi from Saharsa in less time by Vaishali Express. The Dibrugarh New Delhi Rajdhani Express will now also stop at Mansi station. Due to which people of Kosi region who had to go to Barauni and Patna to catch Rajdhani train will now be able to catch Rajdhani Express from Mansi itself.

MLA Alok Ranjan said that there has been a great increase in rail facilities. Two new passenger trains have been provided from Saharsa to Supaul and Madhepura. The operation of this train will provide a lot of convenience to the people of the area in terms of transport facilities. There was no train for a long time after Janaki Express going from Saharsa to Katihar. There will be a lot of convenience with the operation of Saharsa Madhepura train. During the inauguration ceremony, many railway officials and people of the area participated in the program.

Mainly Saharsa Station Superintendent Manoj Kumar, Dinesh Kumar, Traffic Inspector Sanjeev Mani Chaudhary, Traffic Inspector Kishore Kumar Gupta, RPF Inspector Vandana Kumari, RPF Sub Inspector Sujit Kumar Mishra, GRP Station Incharge Ravi Bhushan Kumar, Assistant Divisional Engineer Kishore Kumar Bharti along with JDU and BJP workers were present in the program.
