One lakh saplings will be planted in a day on Thursday under the Chief Minister's Intensive Tree Plantation Campaign

Bikaner, July 10 (HS). Under the Chief Minister's Intensive Tree Plantation Campaign, plantation will be made a mass campaign and on Thursday, intensive plantation will be done in all the gram panchayats of the district at 9 am. During this period, a total of one lakh saplings will be planted across the district.
District Collector Namrata Vrishni said that as per the instructions of the state government, record saplings will be planted in one day under the Chief Minister's Intensive Tree Plantation in the district. For this, the concerned officers and employees have been instructed. During this, block-wise targets have been set for plantation at government and public places of the Gram Panchayat.

Zila Parishad Chief Executive Officer Sohan Lal informed that under Mahatma Gandhi NREGA, a target of planting 3 lakh 39 thousand 585 saplings has been set in all the 9 Panchayat Samitis of the district. Under this, a target has been set to plant a total of one lakh saplings in one day on Thursday including 6300 in Bajju Khalsa, 10700 in Bikaner, 12400 in Sridungargarh, 19300 in Khajuwala, 10900 in Kolayat, 8900 in Nokha, 10900 in Lunkaransar, 8600 in Panchu and 12000 in Pogal. In view of this, guidelines have been issued to ensure prior preparation of plantation.

MNREGA workers will get holiday on Friday
In view of the intensive plantation program, MNREGA workers employed in the district will be given leave on Friday instead of Thursday. District Collector Namrata Vrishni has issued orders in this regard and has given instructions to ensure the participation of MNREGA workers.
