One JCB, two tractors and 07 trolleys seized while doing illegal mining in Yamuna.

Ghaziabad, May 14 (Hindustan Reporter) Loni SDM Nikhil Chakraborty conducted a surprise raid on Yamuna river in village Pachaira under Tronica area on Tuesday, in which a JCB machine, 02 tractors and 07 trolleys were found doing sand mining illegally on the spot. All were confiscated. During this time, after seeing the investigation team, a JCB machine driver ran away towards Delhi with the machine, where the machine got stuck in the swamp under the border of Delhi state.

Chakraborty said that complaints of illegal mining in Yamuna river were being received for the last few days. After which a raid was conducted. Tehsildar Rajat Singh and Mining Officer Utkarsh Tiwari were also involved during the action.

Nikhil Chakraborty said that illegal mining will not be allowed under any circumstances in Tehsil Loni area and such action will be taken against illegal mining activities in future also.
