Bettiah, September 10 (HS). A one-day workshop was organized for the training and orientation program of the Deputy Superintendent, Medical Officer in charge and Health Manager and other health workers of the Sub-Divisional Hospital in connection with the Kayakalp and NQAS program in a private hotel of the district under the chairmanship of Dr. Vijay Kumar, Civil Surgeon of West Champaran.
Civil Surgeon Dr. Vijay Kumar and Additional Chief Medical Officer Dr. Ramesh Chandra said that assessment of Kayakalp and NQAS is to be done in all the health institutions of the district, in which all the health institutions have to be properly prepared with proper documentation and it is necessary to get minimum 70% marks to qualify in it. Dr. Alok said that there are 8 areas of concern for NQAS and 8 thematic areas for Kayakalp. Apart from this, parameters have also been given that the institution should be eco-friendly and related to wash. On the basis of which all the health institutions have to get marks. They have to be selected on the same basis. If any institution is selected in this, then they are given an award certificate as well as incentive money for it.
District Non-Communicable Disease Officer Dr Murtaza Ansari said that providing best health services to the people will strengthen the public's faith in government health services. Murtaza Ansari said that there are 18 blocks in West Champaran district where efforts have to be made to improve Health and Wellness Centers. He said that by identifying various HWCs of blocks Bairia, Chanpatia, Gaunaha, Mainaton, Narkatiaganj, Sikta, Yogapatti, Loriya, emphasis is being laid on improving the quality and service there so that Health and Wellness Centers are functioning as per national standards.
He informed that in order to reduce maternal and infant mortality rate, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India sets targets for certification of the health department at three levels. In which the National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) certification scheme has been started. On this occasion, ACMO Dr. Ramesh Chandra, NCDO Dr. Murtuja Ansari, Dr. Alok Kumar, all Deputy Superintendents, Medical Officers in Charge and Health Managers, Development Partner Piramal and representatives of PSI organization were present.
