Kanpur, March 21 (His). During vehicle checking late on Wednesday night near Kisan Nagar in Bidhnu police station area, the police had an encounter with two criminals riding a motorcycle who were involved in cow slaughter. In retaliation, a miscreant was injured by a bullet in his leg. While his companion was caught. The injured criminal has been admitted to the hospital for treatment. This information was given by Deputy Commissioner of Police South Ravindra Kumar on Thursday.
DCP said that the criminal who was injured by the bullet has revealed his name as Salim alias Shera during interrogation. A case of cow slaughter is already registered against him in Bidhnu police station. He told that even before this he had committed criminal incidents like robbery, snatching and cow slaughter. The name of his second accomplice is Arif. A pistol, cartridges and other cow slaughtering materials (clap, rope, plastic bag, towel) have been recovered from the possession of the arrested criminals.
