South Dinajpur, July 26 (HS). Border guards of Border Out Post (BOP) Hilli of 61 Battalion Border Security Force (BSF) under Raiganj Sector of North Bengal Frontier deployed on the India-Bangladesh border in the district have caught an Indian citizen while he was trying to cross the border illegally from India to Bangladesh. The name of the arrested Indian citizen is Mohammad Hafizul. He is a resident of Bihar.
The BSF issued a press release on Friday and gave this information. According to the information, Mohammad Hafizul was caught when he was roaming suspiciously near the border area with the intention of illegally crossing the border from India to Bangladesh through the unfenced patch. On searching, Rs 5,600 and Bangladeshi 2,000 Taka were recovered from his possession. The BSF handed over the arrested Indian citizen along with the seized goods to the Hili police station for further action.
