One and a half lakh devotees performed Jalabhishek of Lord Bholenath in the hill temple | News India

Ranchi, August 12 (HS). On the fourth Monday of the month of Sawan, devotees thronged all the Shiva temples including the Pahari Mandir in the capital Ranchi. From early morning on Monday, devotees were seen queuing up to offer water to Pahari Baba. At three in the morning, Rudrabhishek was performed as per the Sanatani rituals and Puja was jointly performed by Deputy Commissioner Rahul Sinha, SDO Utkarsh Kumar, Ranchi Pahari Mandir Vikas Samiti President NN Pandey and Badal Singh.

After the Puja, the doors were opened for all the devotees after offering Argha. Nearly 1.5 lakh devotees performed Jalabhishek of Pahadi Baba. The Pahadi Mandir echoed with chants of Bolbam. Special attention was paid to cleanliness in the entire temple premises. Committee Secretary Rakesh Sinha said that today a huge crowd of devotees was seen from Ranchi and the surrounding rural areas. Committee spokesperson Badal Singh said that there was a lot of enthusiasm among the devotees about Mahaprasad. All the devotees were purchasing Mahaprasad in a queue. Suggestions were also taken from all the devotees regarding the Prasad. Rajesh Sahu requested all the devotees not to come in the crowd wearing expensive jewellery.

Members of the district administration and Ranchi Pahadi Mandir Vikas Samiti, and people from voluntary organizations were present from the entrance to the exit gate. They were ready to ensure the safety and better facilities of all the devotees. Lota (small pot) and water were arranged for all the devotees in the upper temple. Along with this, pure drinking water was being provided.

In the evening, a special decoration of Pahadi Baba was done and Maha Aarti was performed with 56 bhogs. Apart from this, devotees were seen worshipping Lord Bholenath from morning till late evening in other Shiva temples including Kanke, Kokar, Booti Mode, Bariatu, Hinoo, Sureshwar Dham of Chutia, Harmu, Kishoreganj, Lalpur of Ranchi.
