Ranchi, 29 August (HS). Police has arrested absconding accused Khemlal Kalindi who helped the murderers in the Advocate Gopi Krishna murder case. He is a resident of Mudla Pahad of Sukhdev Nagar police station area. A country-made pistol, a bullet and a shell used in the murder have been recovered from him.
SSP Chandan Kumar Sinha told in a press conference on Thursday that on August 2, Advocate Gopi Krishna was murdered by two unknown criminals near Mahuatoli Xerox shop in Sukhdev Nagar by stabbing and shooting him. After that, both the criminals Roshan Munda and Sandeep Kalindi were arrested in the case. Both the arrested criminals told that after killing Advocate Gopi Krishna, while running away, they gave a country-made pistol and bullets to Khemlal Kalindi (brother of Sandeep Kalindi) to hide. And he also helped both the criminals to escape.
Since then, the police was searching for Khemlal Kalindi. In this sequence, secret information was received that Khemlal Kalindi is hiding in his brother-in-law's house in Chinjor of Kersai police station area of Simdega. On the information, a team was formed under the leadership of Kotwali DSP Prakash Soy. The team raided Simdega and arrested Khemlal Kalindi. On further questioning him about the country-made pistol, he told that he has hidden the weapon in Mudla Pahad near his house. After this, the raiding team took Khemlal Kalindi from Simdega and recovered the country-made pistol and bullets from Mudla Pahad Sukhdevnagar. In this regard, a separate case has been registered in Sukhdevnagar police station under the Arms Act.
