The city scored 88.2 points in Numbeo's Safest Index, reflecting its relentless efforts in ensuring the well-being of its residents. The city's crime index score is 11.8, ensuring that crime is minimal.

The 6 safest cities in the Middle East

Six Middle Eastern cities are among the top 10 safest cities in the world. Apart from Abu Dhabi, UAE's Ajman is second with 84.2 points and Qatar's Doha is third with 84 points. Taiwan's Taipei is in fourth place and UAE's Dubai is in fifth place. UAE's Ras-al-Khaimah is in sixth place. Oman's Muscat is in seventh place.
