On the path of rebellion, Imran's party refused to accept Maryam Nawaz as CM

PTI, the party of former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan, is now planning a coup. Actually, PTI has planned to call a parallel session of Punjab Provincial Assembly regarding the Chief Minister election. CM, Speaker and Deputy CM will be elected in this parallel session. It is noteworthy that Maryam Nawaz has been elected for the post of CM in Punjab Assembly and she has also taken the oath of the post of CM. However, PTI has claimed that Maryam Nawaz has become the Chief Minister with a 'stolen mandate'.

PTI made serious allegations

Maryam Nawaz, leader of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz and daughter of Nawaz Sharif, has created history by becoming the first woman Chief Minister of Punjab province and took oath today. There are 327 seats in the Punjab Assembly and to become CM, half the seats i.e. 187 seats i.e. 187 votes are required. Maryam Nawaz got 220 votes. Maryam Nawaz defeated PTI-backed Sunni Ittehad Council candidate Rana Aftab. Sunni Ittehad Council members boycotted the assembly proceedings, due to which Rana Aftab did not get a single vote.

The losing candidate was made CM

Now PTI has planned to call a parallel session of the Punjab Assembly and has claimed that 250 members of the Assembly can attend it. PTI leader Shaukat Basra claimed in a press conference that more than half of the members of the Punjab Assembly, including Maryam Nawaz, had reached the assembly with a 'stolen mandate'. Shaukat Basra claimed that Maryam Nawaz was losing to PTI-supported candidate Mehar Sharafat, but the latter lost. The PTI leader claimed that election rigging could lead to anarchy in the country.
