Ranchi, 03 December (HS). Following the order of Chief Minister Hemant Soren, the arrangement for education, ration, nutrition of five destitute children and pension for the children’s grandmother has been approved. In this regard, the Chief Minister had directed the Deputy Commissioner of West Singhbhum (Chaibasa) to connect the victim’s family with all the necessary government schemes and make arrangements for the education of the children.
Deputy Commissioner said that the Block Development Officer went to Asura village and met the victim’s family. During this time it was revealed that the children neither had Aadhar card nor birth certificate. The elderly grandmother was receiving pension in the past, which was stopped due to some reason. Pension documents have also been lost somewhere. Arrangements for birth certificate and Aadhaar registration of all children are being ensured through the Block Development Officer. Also, a child of four months is being looked after by his aunt. The assistant has been asked by the administration to provide nutritional supplements available from Anganwadi. The process of enrolling three children in the local school and one child in the Anganwadi and all types of documents are also being updated to link them with the social security scheme.
It is noteworthy that the Chief Minister received information that after the death of Sahu Purti and Dukhi Purti, residents of Asura village, Jhinkapani, West Singhbhum, on November 24, their five children have become destitute. Their elderly grandmother, who takes care of the children, is deprived of social security pension. After this, the Chief Minister had ordered to connect the victim’s family with government schemes and ensure the education of the children.
