Hamirpur, 20 September (HS). Police could not provide justice to the CRPF jawan posted on the border. His wife was forced to seek refuge in the court. On the order of the court, a case has been registered on Friday against 12 people including the outpost in-charge. Police has registered a case and started investigation in the matter of breaking the wall, assault and molestation after breaking into the house.
Archana Sonkar, a resident of Ingohta village of Sumerpur police station area, had informed the court that her husband Sushil Kumar Sonkar is posted in CRPF in Jammu. On November 6 last year, four unknown people, Ramavatar Sahu, Kalavati Sahu, Guru Prasad Sahu, Archana Sahu, Alka Sahu, Ranibai Sahu, Chutku Sahu and others, started occupying 16 feet of her land. She informed her husband and Ingohta outpost in-charge Shivam Pandey about this over the phone. But Shivam Pandey did not come to the spot. After this, on November 11, in the presence of the outpost in-charge, the accused entered her house and abused her, beat her, molested her, etc. and broke down two concrete walls of her house.
She informed her husband about this. He too called from Jammu and asked the police post in-charge to take action. But he did not take any action. The victim said that the accused Ramavatar Sahu wants to occupy 16 feet of land. Due to this dispute, the above mentioned people committed the crime. Maya, Kavita, Archana and Ravi, who came to rescue her, were also beaten up.
On the court's order, the police have registered a case against 12 people including the outpost in-charge under sections 147, 323, 504, 506, 427, 452, 354 and Dalit Atrocities Act and started investigation. As soon as the case was registered, there was panic among the accused. Please note that the outpost in-charge has been transferred.
Station incharge Rakesh Kumar said on Friday that the matter is in his knowledge. Investigation is going on. Action will be taken against the accused on the basis of investigation.
