Addressing the Sangat during the Gurmat Samaroh, Shiromani Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami said that Sri Guru Amardas Ji established Baoli Sahib on the holy land of Sri Goindwal Sahib and gave the principle of first pangat pachhe Sangat and ended the divisions in the society, gave the message of human equality. He said that Sri Guru Amardas Ji, after receiving the blessings of Guru Jyoti from Sri Guru Angad Dev Ji, took forward the welfare work started by the first Guru Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji and did incomparable work of social upliftment and human welfare. He said that the Sikh community is working for human welfare by following the path shown by the Guru, but it is sad that justice is not being done to the Sikhs regarding the release of Bandi Singhs who have completed their sentence.

Advocate Dhami said that the Government of India had announced the release of some Singhs on the occasion of the 550th Prakash Guruparv of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, which has not been fully implemented till date. He said that the Sikh community demands justice, which is our right. He said that the central government should announce the release of the captive Singhs while dedicating this centenary. The Shiromani Committee President said that the Guru Sahibs blessed the Sikhs with Sri Guru Granth Sahib and Gurmukhi script by giving them a unique culture and principles and gave them an ideal life. He appealed to the Sangat, especially the parents of children, to teach the Gurmukhi script to their next generation so that they can read and understand the Gurbani of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and live their lives according to Gurmat. On this occasion, the Shiromani Committee President also announced an incentive of Rs 21 thousand to Sikh missionary colleges and schools participating in Gurmat music.
