Girl students toured the city carrying placards with slogans like 'We will study and teach, we will build a literate India', 'We will light lamp with lamp, we will build a literate society', 'Literacy awakens us, saves us from exploitation', 'Save daughters, educate daughters', 'The country will progress only when every child will study', 'Nutrition as well as education', 'Capable women, empower India'. Deputy Development Commissioner Kumar Nishant Vivek today flagged off an awareness rally from the Collectorate premises for the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao program under the Nutrition Month on the occasion of International Literacy Day. It is known that every year the month of September is celebrated as the Nutrition Month.
In this sequence, on the occasion of Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao, International Literacy Day, the Deputy Development Commissioner flagged off a rally from the Collectorate premises. In which hundreds of girl students raised the slogan “Every person should become literate as it is his/her fundamental right” through a rally with banners and posters. Along with this, awareness was created about life, education and rights of girls along with their all-round development, domestic violence is a crime and against humanity, child marriage i.e. marriage of boys below 21 years of age and girls below 18 years of age is a legal crime, etc. And like every year, the month of September was celebrated as the Nutrition Month.
Along with this, public awareness was spread by raising slogans for the proper use of nutrients and their rich sources to improve nutrition. ICDS District Program Officer Seema Kumari, hundreds of workers of ICDS Women and Child Development Corporation were present in the public awareness rally program.
