Sabarmati Ashram

Dandi Kutir Museum

Mahatma Gandhi's family lived in Kaba Gandhi no Dela until 1915. Later he was shifted to Kochrab Ashram in Ahmedabad. The house was named after Karamchand Gandhi, father of Mahatma Gandhi, who was also known as Kaaba Gandhi. Mahatma Gandhi lived here in his early days from about 1881 to 1887 AD.

Kirti Mandir
About 200 years ago, Mahatma Gandhi's great grandfather Shri Harjivan Raidas Gandhi had purchased a mansion in Porbandar. It was constructed after the acquisition by Bapu's great grandfather. As soon as the great industrialist Nanjibhai Kalidas Mehta purchased the entire residence of the Gandhi family, he came up with the idea of incorporating it into the Kirti Mandir complex.
