Forbesganj/Araria, August 19 (H.S.). On the last Monday of the month of Sawan, a flood of devotees surged in all the Shiva temples across Forbesganj and Araria districts.

Crowds of devotees started gathering in temples from early morning. Devotees worshipped Lord Bholenath with due rituals. By performing Rudrabhishek and Jalabhishek of Lord Shiva, devotees sought blessings for the well-being of their families.

Due to the large crowd of devotees, people were made to stand in queues in many temples and worship was performed. However, devotees had to wait for worship and darshan. During this time, a crowd of devotees gathered in the city's Bada Shivalaya, Panchmukhi Shiva temple, Sundarnath, Madneshwar Mahadev, Umashankar Mahadev, Nageshwar Mahadev temple as well as other temples to get the blessings of Lord Shiva.

During this time, Shiva temples echoed with the chants of devotees. The chants of Har-Har, Bam-Bam were heard. Shops for worship material etc. were also decorated around many temples. Devotees bought Bel leaves, flowers and dhatura, prasad etc. from these shops and Rudrabhishek was organized in many temples.

On the last Sawan Monday, Rudrabhishek was organized in many Shiva temples. During this, milk, curd, Ganga water, aak, dhatura and other worship materials were offered to Shiva.

In this regard, Pandit Gopi Raman Jha said that worshiping Lord Shiva in the month of Sawan gives desired results. He said that milk, curd, ghee, butter, Ganga water, aak, dhatura etc. should be offered to Lord Bhole Shankar, today is the last Monday of the month of Sawan, if Lord Bhole Nath is worshipped with a true heart, then one gets the desired results.
