Lucknow, 18 October (HS). On the instructions of Uttar Pradesh Fisheries Minister Dr. Sanjay Nishad, two senior officers have been suspended on Friday on charges of departmental negligence. The suspended officers include Kanpur Dehat Senior Fisheries Inspector Avnish Kumar Singh Yadav and Fatehpur Assistant Director Fisheries Girish Chandra Yadav.
The Fisheries Minister said that any laxity in departmental plans and targets will not be tolerated in future. Strict action will continue against those officers who have been negligent in their duties.
Due to irregularities in departmental work in Kanpur Dehat, action has been taken against Avnish Kumar Singh Yadav. The main charges against him are auction of reservoirs, formation of Matsya Jeevi Cooperative Societies, failure to achieve targets in Kisan Credit Card Scheme and Fishermen Welfare Fund Schemes.
Yadav is accused of trying to mislead the auction process of Mirzatal Reservoir. Also, due to poor progress in Fishermen Accident Insurance Scheme and Fishermen Welfare Schemes, strict action was taken against them.
Fatehpur Assistant Director Girish Chandra Yadav is accused of deliberately delaying the formation of Matsya Jeevi Cooperative Societies. Due to not taking timely action on the applications received in February 2024, they have been suspended.
