Ramgarh, September 7 (HS). Ramgarh GP Sanjeev Kumar Ambashta said that the advocates registered by the Jharkhand Advocate Welfare Fund Committee under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Hemant Soren, who surrender their license after the age of 65 years, have been linked to the pension scheme.
GP said that the Advocate Welfare Fund Committee used to give pension of Rs 7000 per month to such advocates. The state government has approved a grant amount of Rs 1 crore 60 lakh in the year 2024-25, equivalent to this pension. Now pensioner advocates will get a pension of Rs 14000 per month. Apart from this, new advocates registered under Jharkhand Advocate Welfare Fund Committee will be given Rs 5000 per month instead of Rs 1000 as stipend for the first 3 years. Approval has been approved in the current financial year for the state government to give an amount equivalent to 50 percent of this amount. A total grant of Rs 01 crore 50 lakh will be sent to the Advocate Welfare Fund Trustee Committee.
The third decision is related to the health insurance scheme. Under this scheme, advocates registered under the Jharkhand Advocate Welfare Fund Committee constituted at the level of the High Court will be provided health treatment worth Rs 500000. A grant amount of Rs 9 crore has been approved in this item. GP Sanjeev Kumar Ambashta said that Jharkhand is the first state in the country where the Hemant Soren government has taken a historic decision in favor of advocates. He thanked the government for this.
