Nawada, 21 September (HS). On the initiative of former Nawada MP Chandan Singh, the district administration has provided compensation to 34 victim Mahadalits of Krishna Nagar Mahadalit Tola of Mufassil police station of Nawada district. On Saturday, former MP Chandan Singh said that he had met Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Bihar Chief Secretary and requested them to provide compensation to the victim Mahadalits whose 34 huts were burnt by miscreants in Krishna Nagar village of Mufassil police station of Nawada parliamentary constituency. After which the amount has been provided.
He said that apart from providing the sum of one lakh five thousand rupees, utensils, clothes and compensation for the hut were also provided separately. He said that certainly there should be a high level investigation of this case as to at whose behest such a big incident was carried out.
Former MP Chandan has said that houses should definitely be built for all Mahadalits at government level, for which the Chief Minister will soon give orders. He said that investigation is going on at some points, after completion of which, along with positive action, strict action will also be taken against the culprits.
