Mahoba, 14 August (HS). The police of the district came out on the streets and took out a Tiranga Yatra on the eve of Independence Day. The Tiranga Yatra became very attractive due to the movement of policemen on the road. The Tiranga Yatra started from the town police station and proceeded from Gandhi Chauraha, bus stand and ended at the police station.
The policemen involved in the yatra raised patriotic slogans like Bharat Mata Ki Jai, Hindustan Zindabad holding the tricolor flag in their hands. The people of the town also welcomed the tricolor yatra at two places. Women police personnel were walking ahead of the yatra. Inspector in-charge Arjun Singh, Mahendra Pratap Singh and many other policemen took part in the yatra.
