Priyanka, a resident of Muskranagar, was married to Sanjeev Dixit fourteen years ago. Since her husband was already having an affair with his sister's friend Pushpanjali, Sanjeev left Priyanka after a few days and started living in a live-in relationship with a girl named Pushpanjali.
When Priyanka came to know about this, she started protesting. But due to lack of consent from her mother-in-law, father-in-law and sister-in-law, she was forced to wander from place to place for the last 14 years. That is why today, on the day of Vijayadashami, she made an effigy of her husband and burnt it in front of her house and tried to give the message that people like Ravana should be ostracized from the society.
Victim Priyanka Dixit told that it has been 14 years since she was married and her exile is still not over. Demanding justice from Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Priyanka said that the Yogi government is running 'Beti Padhao, Beti Bachao' campaign and today an educated daughter cannot be saved. The victim has demanded justice from the present government and strict action against the accused.
