Mamta Banerjee's party will support India alliance
The opposition alliance India now seems to be getting support from the Trinamool Congress on the issue of Lok Sabha Speaker. There are reports that Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has convinced West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to support him. 542 MPs will vote
The 543-member Lok Sabha currently has 542 MPs as Wayanad seat in Kerala has fallen vacant after Rahul Gandhi's resignation. The NDA has a clear majority in the House with 293 MPs.
