Ganjam road accident: The Gamkhwar accident took place this morning in Ganjam district of Odisha. 4 people have died in this accident and about 20 passengers have been injured. This accident has caused devastation in Odisha.

As soon as the information about the accident was received, the police and fire brigade team reached the spot. All the injured have been sent to Berhampur Medical Hospital by ambulance for treatment. The condition of many of the injured passengers is critical.

How did this terrible accident happen?

According to the information received, the accident took place at Sambarjol Kanjuru Chowk in Hinjili police station area of ​​Ganjam district. An oil tanker was overtaking a truck. During this time, it collided with a passenger bus coming from the front. The collision was so severe that the front part of the bus was shattered. Both these cars went to a roadside tea shop. Due to this, three people sitting at the shop and the bus driver died on the spot. 20 passengers travelling in the bus were also seriously injured.

The bus was heading towards Berhampur carrying more than 40 passengers

According to the information received, a passenger bus named Khambeshwari was going from Bhawanipatna to Berhampur with more than 40 passengers. During this time, there was a fierce collision with an oil tanker going from Brahmapur to Asika.

This accident could have been even bigger. The matter of relief is that about 20 passengers are injured but most of them are out of danger. The condition of some is critical. The injured are being treated at Berhampur Medical College Hospital.
