Dehradun, June 03 (HS). Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that our aim is to make the Chardham Yatra smooth and safe. All the officers associated with this system should discharge their responsibilities with commitment. He said that instructions have been given to increase the number of offline registrations for the Chardham Yatra from 1500 to 2000 per day.

On Monday, Chief Minister Dhami reviewed the Chardham Yatra arrangements in Dehradun at the Chief Minister's residence. Keeping in mind the increasing number of devotees coming for the Chardham Yatra, for the convenience of the devotees, the Chief Minister directed the officials to increase the number of offline registrations in Haridwar and Rishikesh from 1500 to 2000 per day.

The Chief Minister also directed to prepare an effective action plan to overcome the shortage of drinking water in the state. He said that serious attention should be paid to planning for water conservation and water enrichment. Efforts should be made to connect the general public to it to run it as a public movement. For this, the Chief Minister has directed to nominate Secretary Shailesh Bagoli and Special Secretary Parag Madhukar Dhakate as nodal officers for the action plan to be prepared for water conservation, water enrichment and improvement in groundwater level.
