Officials should mark sensitive polling stations: District Election Officer | News India

Khunti, 22 August (HS). In the light of the instructions received from the Jharkhand Election Commission, District Election Officer cum Deputy Commissioner Lokesh Mishra held a meeting with all the sector officers and sector police officers of the district on Thursday regarding vulnerable mapping of polling stations.

In the meeting, the District Election Officer directed all the sector officers and sector police officers to take stock of the polling stations and do vulnerable mapping i.e. mark the sensitive polling stations by collecting information from the voters of the area. He also asked them to maintain a register of this entire process.

He said that the officers should do the vulnerable mapping work on priority basis and share the complete report soon. In the meeting, the police officer was also given necessary instructions regarding the action to be taken under Section 107, 110, CAA and other sections registered in the police stations. The representatives of various political parties present in the meeting were asked to appoint BLA. Also, they were asked to verify the voter list at their level, so that the names of the missing voters can be registered in the voter list.
