All officers should make every possible effort on the ground under the leadership of the Sub-Divisional Officer for effective prevention of dengue, malaria and other seasonal diseases including Chikungunya. So that the common people can be prevented from falling prey to the disease. This is what District Collector Dr. Jitendra Kumar Soni has to say. Dr. Soni said this while addressing the weekly review meeting held in the District Collectorate Auditorium on Tuesday. The District Collector also directed the sub-divisional officers to regularly inspect the government hospitals and make a roster of available resources including fogging machines and get intensive fogging done in all the areas by October 25.
He said that there is a need to implement campaigns like War-Har Sunday on Dengue more effectively. Ensure cleanliness in the area by establishing better coordination with the Block Chief Medical Officer and Block Development Officer. Also, anti-virus activities should be intensified to prevent mosquitoes from breeding. Also, methods of prevention from seasonal diseases should be promoted among the general public.
In the meeting, the District Collector instructed the revenue officers to ensure disposal of road related issues including name transfer, land conversion on priority and to take effective action on the issues received in the public hearing. He instructed the officials to carry out quality development of the parks adopted in their area in the next 3 months. In the meeting, officials were also directed to reconstruct and repair gravel roads by October 30.
In the meeting held under the chairmanship of the District Collector, the progress and action plan of the schemes of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin, MNREGA, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department as well as land allotment for budget announcements and various other important points were discussed.
