Officers and employees found guilty of cutting trees without permission will be suspended

Jaipur, 01 August (HS). Panchayati Raj Minister Madan Dilawar said in the Assembly on Thursday that the officers and employees responsible for cutting the trees in the Panchayat Samiti Bamanwas premises without the permission of the administration will be suspended.

Dilawar also assured to investigate the complaints of irregularities in the works sanctioned under various heads by some gram panchayats of Panchayat Samiti Bamanwas within a month and take action as per rules.

Dilawar was answering the supplementary questions asked by the member in this regard during the Question Hour. He clarified that permission was sought to cut trees in the Bamanwas Panchayat Samiti premises but despite not getting permission, the trees were cut. 9 Churail trees were cut, 7 Siras, 3 Neem, 2 Aradoo and 1 Sheesham tree were cut without permission.

Earlier, in a written reply to the original question of member Indra, the Panchayati Raj Minister informed the House that Panchayat Samiti Bamanwas has received complaints of irregularities in some Gram Panchayats in the works sanctioned under Panchayat Samiti and other heads, which have been directed to be investigated within 1 month. He informed that an amount of Rs. 60 thousand for the trees in the Panchayat Samiti Bamanwas premises has been deposited in the treasury.
