New Delhi, September 09 (HS). Rajesh Verma, a 1987 batch officer of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Odisha cadre, took charge as the new full-time chairman of the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) on Monday. Rajesh Verma has been appointed for a period of three years or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Rajesh Verma retires from the post of Secretary to the President of India Draupadi Murmu on 31 August 2024.
Rajesh Verma has extensive experience of working in various departments of the Central and State Governments including the President's Secretariat. He has held many important responsibilities in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Rural Electrification Corporation Limited (REC), New Delhi, Education, Steel and Mines, Agriculture and Energy Department.
