Ocean of boiling water discovered on a planet outside the solar system

Efforts are being made to explore the possibility of life in space beyond Earth. During the search for life, an ocean has been found outside the solar system, on the surface of which there are indications of an ocean of boiling water. This planet was discovered with the help of the James Webb Telescope of the American space agency NASA. Scientists have named that planet TOI-270. If we look at the data that has come out about this planet, it indicates the presence of water in the form of vapor in addition to a large amount of methane and carbon dioxide in the atmosphere of this planet.

Researchers at Cambridge University have said that the chemical composition of the planet provides information that the ocean of water on this planet has returned filled with hydrogen. Professor Nikku Madhusudan, head of the team leading the research team, said that the temperature of the oceans on this planet could be 100 degrees Celsius. The atmosphere here is not suitable for human habitation but the planet is still being studied.

The Canadian research team says that the temperature of this planet is so high that the water here immediately turns into vapor. It is also possible that the maximum temperature on the planet could be 4,000 degrees Celsius.

The chemical composition of the planet is being studied

By further studying this extrasolar planet, astronomers will be able to provide maximum information about the mysteries of the chemical composition of the planet's atmosphere. Once the chemical composition of the planet is known, it will be possible to know whether life is possible on the planet or not. The absence of ammonia in the atmosphere of the planet TOI-270 is evidence that there must be a water ocean beneath the hydrogen-rich atmosphere.

Jupiter's moon produces 1,000 tons of oxygen per day

NASA's Juno mission has revealed that 1,000 tons of oxygen is produced every 24 hours on Jupiter's moon Europa. This amount of oxygen is enough for one lakh people to breathe in a day. However, the current figure of hydrogen gas production is less as compared to the old data available regarding the production of hydrogen gas on this moon. According to a study report published in Nature Astronomy, 12 kilograms of gas is formed per second on the moon Europa.
