The Aakrosh Yatra will begin on July 22 and pass through Ramgavan, Wadigodri, Beed, Ahmednagar, Parbhani, Hingoli, Washim, Buldhana districts of Jalna, and end at Paithan taluka of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district.
Manoj Jarange will start hunger strike
On the other hand, Maratha reservation activist Manoj Jarange Patil is once again starting an indefinite hunger strike from July 20 at Antarwali Sarti in Jalna. Manoj Jarange Patil said that the government did not accept his demands and the deadline of July 13 has passed. Therefore, from July 20, he is once again starting an indefinite strike for Maratha reservation. Many people are saying that Jarange Patil should not sit on a hunger strike, but he is adamant on his insistence and will sit on a hunger strike from Saturday.
There is already a lot of tension between Marathas and OBCs in Marathwada, Maharashtra regarding reservation. The OBC community and leaders like Chhagan Bhujbal have already staged several protests against giving reservation to Marathas from OBCs. Speaking to the media, Jarange Patil said the state government has failed to issue a notification for reservation in OBC quota to 'sadhu sants' (relatives by birth or marriage) of the Kunbis.
