Araria 26 June (HS). On the occasion of Drug Abuse Day, a legal awareness camp cum oath taking ceremony was organized by the District Legal Services Authority on Wednesday in Araria Divisional Jail and Juvenile Reformatory Home, in which the prisoners of Divisional Jail and the juveniles living in Juvenile Reformatory Home were made aware about the health, economic, physical and mental damages caused by drugs and were administered the oath.
In the organized program, people were motivated to live a happy social life by joining the mainstream of society after coming out of jail or juvenile correctional home. Secretary of District Legal Services Authority Amrendra Kumar and Chief of Legal Aid Defense Council Vinay Kumar Thakur along with advocates Sohanlal Thakur, Dukhmochan Yadav, Arunesh Gaurav etc, while making everyone aware of the legal provisions regarding drugs along with the changes in the social and family lifestyle, appealed to everyone to give up drugs and inspire others not to take drugs. Jail Superintendent Jawahar Lal Prasad along with officials of District Legal Services Authority and Legal Aid Defense Council were present in the Divisional Jail.
