Moradabad, 19 February (HS). A meeting of Congress officials from across the board regarding Rahul Gandhi's Nyay Yatra was held on Monday in a banquet hall on Delhi Road. In which Pradeep Narwal, co-in-charge and national secretary of Congress Uttar Pradesh, told that on February 24, Nyay Yatra will be taken out under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi in Moradabad district. Congress leaders were given district wise responsibility of gathering vehicles and crowd for this Nyaya Yatra.
National Secretary Pradeep Narwal said that these days Congress is becoming increasingly strong in Moradabad division. Keeping the 2009 Lok Sabha elections in mind, the National Secretary claimed to win half of the Lok Sabha seats in the division. He gave the leaders the target of following Rahul in a convoy of one thousand vehicles. Leaders from surrounding districts also claimed in the meeting to make this Yatra historic.
It was told in the meeting that on February 24 at 8 am, the Nyaya Yatra under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi will start from Jama Masjid till the border of Sambhal. Welcome platforms will be built at various places on this route to welcome the yatra. From Tuesday onwards, announcements will be made through loudspeakers in rickshaws to promote the Nyaya Yatra.
In the meeting, National Secretary and former MLA Sanjay Kapoor, State Vice President Vidit Chaudhary, State Vice President Rizwan Qureshi, State General Secretary and in-charge Subodh Sharma, State Secretary Mithun Tyagi, Moradabad District President Aslam Khurshid, Metropolitan President Anubhav Mehrotra, former MLA Ikram Qureshi, Bhaikar Singh. Apart from Boudh, Altaf Mansoori, Mushahid Chaudhary, Vivek Sagar, Vijay Mishra, Danish Qureshi, district and metropolitan presidents and state officials of Rampur, Amroha, Bijnor, Bareilly and Meerut were present.
