Nutrition garden constructed during Nutrition Month in Primary School Churchuria | News India

Araria, 11 September (HS). An awareness program on nutrition was organized by setting up a nutrition garden on Wednesday in the primary school Churchuria of Forbesganj under the Nutrition Month.

Lemon, cucumber, tomato, pumpkin, prawn, lady finger, sack etc. were planted by the students of Bal Sansad in the Poshan Vatika. National Nutrition Week is an annual nutrition program initiated by the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Food and Nutrition Board, Government of India. This program is celebrated every year from 1 to 30 September across the country. The main objective of celebrating Nutrition Week is to raise awareness on the importance of nutrition for better health, which has an impact on growth, productivity, economic development and ultimately national development.

Every year the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare celebrates National Nutrition Week during which public awareness programmes are organised about the importance of proper nutrition in protecting and improving the health of children. On this occasion, the students and cooks of Bal Sansad along with the teachers of the school Ranjesh Kumar, Farhat Bambi, Ram Kumar etc. were present.
