New York, 30 October (Hindustan Reporter) The Denver Nuggets recorded their second straight win by defeating the Brooklyn Nets 144-139 in overtime on Tuesday in New York. For the winning team, Nikola Jokic scored 29 points, 18 rebounds and 16 assists, Jamal Murray and Aaron Gordon scored 24-24 points.
In addition, Russell Westbrook scored 22 points off the bench, Michael Porter Jr. added 16 and Christian Brown added 12 points for the Nuggets, who won in OT for the second consecutive night.
The Nets had seven players score in double figures, led by Dennis Schroder with 28 points and 14 assists. Cam Thomas scored 26 points. The Nets scored first in overtime, before the Nuggets scored eight consecutive points to take the lead 133–127.
Schroder hit a 3-pointer to cut the Nets' deficit to 135–132, but Brown answered from deep and Murray split two free throws to cut the Nuggets' lead to seven.
Cameron Johnson hit a 3-pointer to make it 141–137 with 26.5 seconds left, but the Nuggets closed it out and took the game.
