NTPC took up the initiative of empowering little girls

Rae Bareli, 15 May (H.I.S.). With the resolve to make India self-reliant in the energy sector through sustainable power generation, NTPC is running a mega campaign with equal responsibility and sensitivity to hone the hidden talents of the small talents around the projects. Through the Girl Empowerment Campaign, for the last several years, NTPC has been making continuous efforts to enhance the talent and personality of the girls of nearby villages of Unchahar by giving them a new platform. So far hundreds of girls have been benefited from this campaign. In the same sequence, this year too, under the Girls Empowerment Campaign, a new experiment of determination power has been done by inculcating slogans like 'Flight of Dreams' for 120 girls.

On Wednesday, the girls empowerment program was inaugurated by Unchahar Project Head Mandeep Singh Chhabra, Priyadarshini Ladies Club President Taruna Chhabra and other senior officials with the lighting of the lamp. Addressing the program, Shri Chhabra said that we are happy that we have got the opportunity to empower girls. Under this, the personality of girls will be made multidimensional by developing their skills. Shri Chhabra expressed confidence that the girls trained through this program will get new strength in their will to take the 'flight of dreams'.

During the inauguration ceremony, last year's girls presented cultural dance and songs. Along with this, the girls participating this year also participated in the cultural program. Vandita Samuel, representative of the workshop's faculty organization My GenI, while giving the outline of the program, said that for the all-round development of the girls, apart from education, they will be told about karate, music, dance, yoga and good touch-bad touch etc. Also, efforts will be made to strengthen the self-confidence of girls.

Before this, Human Resources Head Ruma De Sharma welcomed everyone and said that by getting trained from the courtyard of NTPC Unchahar, these girls will not only empower themselves but will play a big role in empowering India. During the program, the guests cut the cake with the girls and encouraged them by offering them sweets. The program was conducted by CSR Manager Sneha Tripathi.

On this occasion, General Manager (Operations and Maintenance) Atul Kamlakar Desai, General Manager (Fuel Management) KD Yadav, General Manager (Operations) Rajesh Kumar, Assistant Commandant CISF Ramphal, Assistant Commandant CISF (Fire) RS Sirohi, Purwara Village Head Anand Pandey, Jasauli village head Shamshad, Bikai village head representative Subhash Maurya, Khurrampur village head representative Vinay Shukla, union and association officials, other department heads, senior members of Priyadarshini Ladies Club, other senior officers of the human resources department and a large number of employees, Women and children were present. At the end of the program, Deputy General Manager (Human Resources) Dr. Disha Awasthi expressed her gratitude to everyone.
