NTPC Korba organizes training workshop on labor and industrial laws

Korba, 15 November (Hindustanism). NTPC Korba conducted a holistic training workshop on Labor and Industrial Laws from 14th to 15th November 2024 with the aim of enhancing the knowledge of the employees about the legal framework in the industrial sector. In this workshop, renowned professors of XLRI, Jamshedpur, Professor PK Padhi and Professor Tanmay Patnaik guided.

This training workshop was conducted in three phases, with the first two sessions being for NTPC Korba employees, and the third session being conducted exclusively for SMC (Site Management Committee) members. More than 100 participants participated in this workshop and gained valuable information about the ongoing changes in labor laws and their impact on the workplace. Professor PK Padhi and Professor Tanmoy Patnaik discussed about employee rights, workplace safety rules, dispute resolution process. , and conducted expert sessions on topics such as latest changes in industrial laws.

The workshop was inaugurated by Rajeev Khanna, Project Head, NTPC Korba, who gave an inspiring address welcoming the professors and participants. Mr Khanna said: “Knowledge of labor and industrial laws is essential for every organization so that they can ensure legal compliance, promote the well-being of employees and create an environment of equal and mutual respect. “At NTPC Korba, we are committed to equip our team with the necessary tools to effectively understand and comply with these legal aspects, which will ultimately enhance our productivity and work culture.”

The workshop was highly interactive, featuring case studies, real-life examples and discussions to help employees gain a deeper understanding of these laws. The participants actively participated in the workshop and identified best practices for compliance and dispute resolution at the workplace.
