NSUI accuses new Vice Chancellor of University of corruption in the name of investigation committee and report

Saharsa/Madhepura, March 12 (HS). A press conference was held in the BNMU Central Library by the Joint Student Organization regarding the investigation committee and investigation report of the university administration. Former National Convenor of NSUI Manish Kumar said that after the arrival of the new Vice Chancellor of the University, a lot of corruption and looting was done in the name of Inquiry Committee and Inquiry Report.

Raj Bhavan was wrongly misled by ignoring the pending investigation reports of all the old committees and by whitewashing the two junior officers of the university, College Inspector Science and College Inspector Commerce and Arts. He said that the B.Ed spot nomination of RM College Saharsa and B.Ed. There are irregularities in the report of the committee formed to investigate the appointment of the Head of the Department.

Nikhlish Kumar Singh, former Principal of SNS Women's College, Supaul, said that more than a dozen letters were received from the Governor and the Director of Higher Education Department to the Vice Chancellor and Registrar of BNMU to investigate the matter of the report and take action. In the light of the said letter, BNMU The Registrar formed a five-member inquiry committee, in which the university's proctor, CCCD, finance officer and college inspector were made members. The inquiry committee submitted the inquiry report on 2 August 2023. That investigation report was kept suppressed by the university for 5 months. Then on 20 February 2024, the investigation report of the investigation committee consisting of 5 senior officers was hidden and the investigation report prepared by a two-member committee of a junior officer was sent to the Chancellor's Secretariat.

Student leader Arman Ali and student leader Mausam Priya said that in the past, the university has not taken seriously even a single issue of student interest. There is no provision of even drinking water in the new campus and the old campus of the university. The condition of UMIS established by IAS is also in bad condition. Students are being exploited financially and mentally. Instead of facilities, they are getting problems.
