NSS unit of Marwari College celebrated World Population Day

Kishanganj, 11 July (HS). National Service Scheme Unit, Marwari College, Kishanganj organized a seminar on 'World Population Day' on Thursday, in which the speakers warned about the ill effects of increasing population and said that population control is very important. Principal Prof. Sanjeev Kumar, who was presiding, said that the area of ​​western countries is large but their population is comparatively very less. On the contrary, India has more population than the area. Therefore, population control is necessary.

The Hindi department head said that due to the rise in population, the large farms of our forefathers are getting divided into small pieces. The responsibility of providing a good upbringing to the child lies with the parents. Therefore, the more children are good, as many as can be provided with a good upbringing. The English department head Prof. Gulrez Roshan Rahman said that the more education and development spreads, the more awareness will spread among people and people will practice birth control. The NSS programme officer Dr. Qasim Akhtar, who was conducting the programme, said that in view of the increasing population every year across the world, World Population Day was started from 11 July 1989 with the aim of controlling the population.

In the seminar, Head of Philosophy Department Kumar Saket, Head of Mathematics Department Devashish Dangar, Head of History Department Dr. Ashwani Kumar, Head of Bengali Department Dr. Srikant Karmakar, Head of Physics Department Dr. Anuj Kumar, Head of Economics Department Dr. Ramesh Kumar, Head of Political Science Department Santosh Kumar along with non-teaching staff, NSS volunteers and students were present.
