NSF Chairman S. Varinderjit Singh honoured for exemplary community service

Jammu, July 3 (HS). In a prestigious ceremony held at Gurdwara Shaheed Baba Deep Singh Ji, Akali Kaur Singh Nagar, Digiana, Chairman National Sikh Front, NSF, S. Varinderjit Singh was honoured for his tireless service to the Sikh community and the wider society.

At the ceremony, Gurdwara Committee President S. Kulwant Singh Bhatti highlighted Singh's major achievements. These included Singh's key role in the Railway Board, particularly his success in securing the long-demanded direct train service from Jammu to Hazur Sahib Nanded. He has been a staunch advocate for the rights of Sikhs in Kashmir, working tirelessly to push for government packages to support their rehabilitation and employment opportunities.

He further said that Singh's vision of inclusive governance and community welfare is exemplified by projects such as enhanced connectivity through dedicated train services to Hazur Sahib. His grassroots advocacy, coupled with effective political mobilisation, continues to shape the future of community welfare and governance. On the occasion, the Gurdwara Committee also honoured former Captain S Bachitar Singh, who made significant contributions to the country.
