NSA extended for 1 year on Amritpal Singh and his associates, will they come to take oath

New Delhi: NSA (National Security Act) has been extended for one year on Amritpal Singh, the head of 'Waris Punjab De' and the newly elected MP from Khadoor Sahib, who is lodged in Dibrugarh jail in Assam. NSA has also been extended on other associates of Amritpal Singh including Papalpreet, Prime Minister Bajeke, Daljit Kalsi. NSA was imposed on all of them in March last year and they were sent to Dibrugarh jail. It is worth noting that in the recently held Lok Sabha elections, Amritpal Singh has won the Khadoor Sahib seat by more than 2 lakh votes. In such a situation, there were speculations about his coming out to take oath, but with the government extending the NSA for one year, speculations have again intensified whether he will come out of jail to take oath or not?

He was arrested by Punjab police in 2023
