Gorakhpur. The Yogi government, which is continuously working on strengthening road connectivity in Uttar Pradesh, is preparing to start full traffic facility on the Gorakhpur Link Expressway by the end of this month. By the first week of June, 97 percent of the work on this expressway has been completed. With the opening of this expressway, the Gorakhpur region will be connected to Lucknow, Agra and Delhi through Purvanchal Expressway through a fast and smooth traffic corridor.
Gorakhpur Link Expressway is one of the priority projects of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. It will start near Jaitpur village on Gorakhpur bypass NH-27 and end at Salarpur in Azamgarh district on Purvanchal Expressway. The total cost of this 91.352 km long expressway is Rs 5876.67 crore. It will directly connect Gorakhpur, Ambedkarnagar, Santkabirnagar, Azamgarh districts. Gorakhpur Link Expressway will provide direct connectivity and better travel experience. Also, it will help in bringing the people of the concerned area closer to each other.
97 percent construction work of Gorakhpur Link Expressway completed
According to the information available on the official website of UP Expressway Industrial Development Authority till June 10, 97 percent of the construction work of Gorakhpur Link Expressway has been completed. Out of the total 341 infrastructures proposed on the expressway, 337 have been completed. The construction work of others is being done at a fast pace. Two days ago, Gorakhpur Commissioner Anil Dhingra had given instructions to complete the work of the link expressway by the end of this month by accelerating the construction work in the review meeting of big projects.
It will take only three and a half hours to reach Lucknow
It will take only three and a half hours for people from a large area of Purvanchal to reach Lucknow via the Gorakhpur Link Expressway. Apart from this, people will be able to enjoy a wonderful journey from Delhi to Agra. The construction of the Gorakhpur Link Expressway will accelerate the development work of the Gorakhpur region. This expressway will increase the income of agriculture, commerce, tourism and industries along with economic development. The Yogi government is also building industrial corridors on both sides of the expressway.
