He said that for the last nine years he himself had been demanding removal of toll tax on light vehicles in Mumbai Thane. MLA Sanjay Kelkar in his statement said that for many years, light and heavy vehicles had to pay toll at five toll booths while entering or exiting Mumbai. Due to this, queues of vehicles formed at Anand Nagar, Dahisar, Mulund, Vashi and Airoli toll booths in Thane. As a result, traffic jams, fuel wastage and economic chaos stranded lakhs of motorists.
