Now SP President Akhilesh Yadav is also on the radar of CBI, summons issued to him in illegal mining case

CBI has sent a notice to Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav and called him for questioning. Akhilesh Yadav has been asked to appear as a witness on 29 February. The whole matter is related to illegal mining that took place during the tenure of SP as Chief Minister. According to sources, he has been called for questioning under Section 150 of CrPC.

Akhilesh Yadav has targeted the BJP government regarding CBI and ED. He has been continuously alleging that the government leaves CBI and ED behind the leaders during elections. Meanwhile, the politics of UP is also hot on the summons of CBI. Samajwadi Party can now adopt an aggressive stance regarding summoning Akhilesh Yadav. According to sources, Akhilesh Yadav will not appear on CBI summons on Thursday.

Akhilesh Yadav, who was the Chief Minister in 2012-13, had the mining department. At that time there were serious allegations of illegal mining. When the investigation of the case started after the order of the High Court in 2016, the name of former minister Gayatri Prajapati came up. Not only this, allegations were also made against B Chandrakala, who was DM of many districts in the Akhilesh Yadav government and raids were also conducted there.

What is the whole matter?

A case of illegal mining came to light in Hamirpur between 2012 and 2016 during the SP government. In this case, after CBI, now ED has registered FIR in many other cases including Money Laundering Act. The names of all those 11 people including the then District Magistrate B Chandrakala are mentioned in the FIR. Whose names were in the CBI FIR. After which CBI also raided the house of IAS officer B Chandrakala. FIR has been registered against 11 accused including IAS B Chandrakala and SP MLC Ramesh Chandra Mishra.

Akhilesh had the ministry at the time of the scam

When this scam happened, between 2012 and 2013, the Mining Ministry was with Akhilesh Yadav. At that time he was also the Chief Minister of the state. At that time there were the same number of ministers along with Akhilesh. All came under investigation. In this sequence, now Akhilesh Yadav has been called for questioning as a witness.
