People from different sections of the country get the benefits of government schemes. The government brings most of the schemes keeping in mind the interests of the poor and needy people of the country. Even today there are many people who are unable to arrange for two meals a day.
The government provides ration to these people at low prices. For this, state governments of different states of India issue ration cards. Ration card holders not only get the facility of ration at lower prices. Rather, other benefits are also provided by the government. Now ration card holders in this state will be given gas cylinders for just Rs 450. The government has changed the rules.
Cheap cylinders to ration card holders in Rajasthan
Under the National Food Security Act i.e. NFSA, ration card holders are given ration at lower prices. But now under NFSA, the government will provide gas cylinders to ration card holders at very low prices. The government will now provide gas cylinders to ration card holders for just Rs 450.
Earlier, the Rajasthan government used to give gas cylinders for only Rs 450 to the beneficiaries taking benefits under the Ujjwala scheme. But now the government in the state is giving this benefit to the ration card holders also. But for this, ration card holders will have to link their ration card with LPG ID. Only then will they get a chance to avail this benefit.
68 lakh families will get benefits
Currently more than 1,07,35000 families in Rajasthan are included in the list of National Food Security Act. Of these, 37 lakh families are already being given benefits under BPL and Ujjwala scheme. Therefore, now the remaining 68 lakh families will get the benefit.
E-KYC of ration card is necessary
To avail the benefits of this government scheme, ration card holders will have to complete the e-KYC process. That means, not only will they have to get the LPG ID seeded in the ration card, but they will also have to re-link their Aadhaar card. Only then will they be able to take advantage of this scheme.
