In coordination with the Informatics Centre.
To avail this facility, pensioners can make an online request to the postman of their area as well as through the Post Info mobile app. For this, the pensioner will have to provide Aadhaar number, mobile number, bank or post office savings account number and PPO number. On completion of the certificate generation process the pensioner will receive a confirmation SMS on his/her mobile number and the certificate can be viewed online after the next day by logging into the app.
Pensioners usually have to submit life certificate to the treasury, bank or related department every year in the month of November for pension. For this, old age pensioners and pensioners from remote areas often have to face difficulties in commuting. Besides, a lot of time is also spent in travelling. In such a situation, this initiative of the Postal Department will provide a lot of convenience to the pensioners. Along with this, pensioners can withdraw pension amount from their bank account through Aadhaar enabled payment system sitting at home through postman.
